These weeks were jam-packed here at the YY studio!

We’re still so thrilled to continue our work with the winner of ELLE MX DISEÑA, a reality TV competition on the Sony Entertainment channel in Mexico that awards the top designer out of 11 finalists.

Out of over 500 applications, JESÚS DE LA GARSA was declared the winner and one of his first prizes was a one-month internship here at YY in New York City!

It’s been a joy having Jesús and our time together was incredible. He is such a kind, caring, and sensible designer with a sharp eye for detail in his work.

He worked on different projects for us including costs, material selection, production, distribution, design and marketing among others. He also visited some of the most important locations for the creation and selection of materials in New York.

Jesús worked with me directly and it was so fun and fulfilling to see him grown and learn how fashion works in NYC.

Thank you so much to ELLE MEXICO DISEÑA and their team. To Claudia, their director, I want to especially thank for being so incredible throughout the process. I’m so grateful for her trust and it was an amazing experience that I’m looking forward to repeating with next season’s winner!
